(Maximum 20 per workshop) Herbicide resistance in key cropping weeds is expanding rapidly, with more herbicide groups failing and more weeds becoming resistant. To successfully plan and manage profitable cropping systems in this changing environment, growers need to know how herbicide resistance occurs, the nature of weed seed banks and how this influences the success of different management tactics. Knowledge of how to integrate a more diverse range of weed management tactics into the farming system is critical to success. This 1-day workshop on the practical implementation of IWM will assist growers to better identify and manage the cropping weed challenges they face. This workshop is targeted to broad acre grain growers and mixed crop / livestock producers. These workshops will be delivered by consultants John Cameron (ICAN) or Andrew Storrie (Agronomo) with input from regional weeds experts. This workshop has been developed and delivered with support from growers and the federal government through the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), and follow in the wake of the much acclaimed 2-day IWM workshops for advisers. Support from the GRDC has enabled grower registration fees to be kept at a nominal $55 pp. This workshop has been developed and delivered with support from the GRDC, and is delivered with the support of leading R&D based ag chemical companies and local agribusiness's, including: Syngenta Crop Protection, Bayer CropScience, Dow AgroSciences, NuFarm, AGnVET Services, McGregor Gourlay Agricultural Services and Dalby Rural Services.
